my 365/52 project | week 4 & 5

i knew this would happen. that week i took off would totally get me behind in my 365 project.  i took the photos, i just didn't post them.

stir fry again! this has to be one of my favorite things to eat.

 if you haven't been here since the beginning, then you may not know that i have decided that my 365/52 projects will include phone photos, sooc photos, as well as edited photos. my goal is not to have 365 perfect photos but 365 photos of my life. sometimes life gets crazy and i don't always have time to do anything more than pull out my phone and snap a photo of elijah in his carseat for the 100th time. :)

photo friday | week 3: macro

i originally had planned on posting a close up shot of a little toy mighty bean that my boys have.  if you have children around 5 and up, then you probably know what those are. 

however, as i was walking through the house looking for a cord to my computer, my flower topper caught my eye and i just had to snap a quick shot.  and of course, in the end i used this shot as my macro shot for this week's challenge.

 

i used lightroom 3 and photoshop cs5 to edit and add the texture.

photo friday | week 2: breakfast

hot delicious coffee. ready to head out the door to drop the kids off at school.

a very simple photo, but this is seriously my breakfast every morning. no sugar or any other kind of sweetener, no creamer or milk. nothing but a hot cup of coffee.  

i won't pass up a starbucks caramel macchiato though. {grin}

photo friday | week 1: cold

trina over at xoxo, trina got her first digital slr camera for christmas and decided that she wanted to do a 52 week project to help her increase her photography skills.

if you haven't ever read trina's blog, you are really missing out. her blog focus is on fashion, but i promise you that there's much more to her than that. i have learned a lot about fashion from trina's video tutorials and outfit of the day videos, but she is also very crafty as well.

i know trina would love for you to join her in her 52 week photo friday project each week.  she decided to start on the first full week of 2011 and you can link up every friday.

each week has a theme and this week's theme is cold and since it was officially decided yesterday that she would be doing this photo adventure, she has her first linky open today. but of course, all the rest will be every friday.

cold (as in frozen) york peppermint patties

i had to scramble last minute to get this photo so it is kind of a stretch for the theme cold.

however, these are york peppermint patties and i keep them in my freezer because they taste so good like that. nice and cold!
