so, if you haven't heard, jason and i and our friends went to a carolina panthers game last weekend.  it was the first time since amanda and rick had gracie and jason and i had elijah, that we have been out together without any of our children.

jason and i had a few hours together a little over a month ago, but this is the first time with friends.  i have to admit that it was great.

sweet stuff sunday - frankenstein

i know you are probably going to think i sound like a broken record, but I LOVE HALLOWEEN!  and frankenstein is my favorite halloween character.  actually, i love all of the classic horror movie characters; frankenstein, dracula, wolfman, the mummy, and zombie.

check out these crazy awesome items i found that i am just dying to have.

1. frank shoes

i don't even remember how i found these shoes above, but i just think they are THE greatest. correct me if i am wrong, but they must be something someone made because once i found them, i googled my fingers to the bone looking for these shoes.  i would love a pair of these shoes in toddler size for elijah. i would make him wear them all year.

the shoes below are equally awesome on a girly level and can see my little tyler wearing these shoes. i wouldn't have to make her wear them every day cause she would probably cry if i didn't let her. unfortunately, all sizes are for adults.  the etsy shop, em and sprout, that sells these frank mary janes, also sells them with a vampire.  AND...if you're not looking for halloween items, there's a huge selection of other stuff too.

2. bride of frankenstein necklace

this silhouette necklace from the etsy shop c.a.b. fayre is laser cut in black acrylic. i would wear this myself for sure, and i love all of the little details it has. c.a.b. fayre also has a bat necklace that you may like, as well as a few other things that are not related to halloween. go check them out!

3. frankenstein hat

oh my goodness, this hat from the etsy shop crafty creations is A-DOOR-A-BULL!  i want it, want it, just got to have it! right now, this minute! but i am sad, because even small little purchases right now are not an option for us. christmas is coming up and i have to be firm. six kids to shop for, it's really not a choice.

what i truly need to do is learn to crochet and knit. 

don't see that happening anytime soon.

sweet stuff sunday on monday - halloween

the next couple of weeks will probably feature halloween items that i have discovered and want to share with you all, so let's just dive right in and get started because there are some fabulous things to be seen.

steampunk jewelry

i seriously about died when i found the etsy shop, catherinette rings steampunk jewelry and sculptures, because this stuff called out my name.

these pieces here just scream halloween, but can be worn almost anytime. there are also so many other pieces in the steampunk shop that don't reflect so much of a halloween feel to them that i just love.

i have been cruising through trying to decide on one piece. my birthday is coming up next month. who wants to buy me a gift?  these are good quality pieces, not just a piece of crappy costume jewelry.


frankenstein plush doll

are these not the cutest little dolls ever? not only does sassy pack rat studios have this adorable frankenstein doll, but there is a bride of frankenstein to match. there is even a vampire and a witch. all equally adorable!

i just know that my girls would love these dolls as much as i do. great for older children but would suggest watching younger children closely because they do have button eyes.

potion labels

one of my favorite blogs, love manor, is dedicated to nothing but halloween.

i found this blog a year or so ago and really wanted to use these potion labels last year.  i found the perfect jars and bottles to put them on, so now all i have to do is print them, cut them out and put them on.

i think the best way to apply them would probably be to use a spray glue or even modge podge.  i think they both would work well.
