Hi, my name is Joni! Army National Guard wife to Jason and stay at home mom to six children. I was born and raised in North Carolina. I grew up in Raleigh, and moved to Franklinton, a small town just minutes away, in 2004.
In 2007, I divorced and became a single mom of my 3 girls, then in 2008 I began my life with Jason and his two boys. I started blogging in 2009 when I found out I was pregnant with our sixth and final child. I previously worked in Early Childhood Education, but quit my job in 2010 to provide for my family at home, while Jason works outside of the home to provide for us financially, through the Guard, as well as DirecTV on the side.
Through my love of writing and photography, I enjoy sharing my family and our stories. I'd also love for you to follow along on my weight loss journey, as I share my successes and failures, product reviews, and my love for running. Find women's fashion and home decor with my weekly series, The Polyvore Files, or be inspired by one of my recipes or DIY attempts. You will also find lots of things for children, including crafts, parenting tips, and affordable fashions for boys and girls, ages 4-16.
Mackenzie, Ryan, Jacob, Phoenix, Tyler, and Elijah are my Six Cherries, whom this blog was named after, but these are more than just the stories of a big crazy family. This is my story of a mom, who loves Jesus, photography, running, and coffee, and is just trying to find herself, while raising six kids.
