a few things last week: my new kitchen/coffee cart i got at a thrift shop near my home for $45. perfect condition. i am in love with it! // they say you dream even when you don't remember them... well, i definitely remembered that one! // elijah's lunch plate. heart PB sandwich (no jelly! we don't really do jelly very often), heart cheddar cheese, carrots and black olives, blackberries and blueberries, and plain yogurt with agave on top for dipping the fruit. // princess gracie // muh new hairs! cut and highlights. my hair was down to my booty and i chopped it all off. it feels so much better! // true blood cookbook. this book is amazing! it has a TON of recipes. AND, i see there is a second book coming out in june. pre-order now! // i love him, and he works hard! he deserves to sit up all night and play call of duty black ops 2... even if it bores me to death. // fresh juice // chai tea with a splash of torani caramel. I LOVE THIS STUFF! // dropping the mister off for drill weekend. night vision drivers training this weekend! // smoothie for one... me! // missing the hubs and watching brother bear with my littles. // i started weight watchers, A-gain... and this is the best smoothie i have ever made. // ended the weekend with my new favorite show GIRLS. woo hoo!

• i'm only human, so sometimes my house does look like this. sometimes way more than i would like. 

• i finally got to spend a day with gabriel. he is such a good baby!

•  watching full throttle saloon with jason. we like it!

•  elijah is pretty serious about his chocolate milk. 

• smoothie just for me. greek yogurt, mango, berries, banana, and almond milk.

• last friday, it actually snowed here in NC. it was a pretty pathetic snow, just enough to tease the kids and annoy me. i was only about 3-4 inches, but it quickly turned to rain and left nothing for the next morning. i really was hoping it would snow enough for elijah to go out and enjoy it. the last time it snowed like that, he was only a few months old. 

• when she does stuff like this, mackenzie reminds me of myself at her age. 

• breakfast for dinner: line a muffin tin with bacon, crack an egg in the middle, top with cheese, and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 15-20 minutes. quick and simple, and so good!

• chili for the cold weather. we basically just threw some stuff in a pot and hoped for the best...we got some damn good chili! 

• watching disney's original alice in wonderland. one of my favorite movies as a child. i watched this and cinderella at least 10 times a week for several years. this was the first time any of my children had seen it. phoenix liked it best.

it's been nice to just sit around the house and do nothing and that is exactly what we did this past weekend. the only thing i did was make a couple grocery runs. here are a few photos of our relaxing weekend via iphone...

1. i have been making elijah these special lunches during the week to encourage better eating...and it actually works! it even worked pretty well for phoenix and tyler this weekend, but they aren't nearly as picky as elijah is. 

2. jason got a new ipad for christmas, so his old one went to elijah along with these headphones. i love how he wears them below his ears. 

3. puzzle time. i picked up this fisher price little people box of six 24-piece puzzles for $1 on clearance at our grocery store. not the typical place i buy items of this sort, but when you see a price like that, you get it! he loves putting these together all by himself. 

4. my emeals low carb turkey wrap dinner. delicious!

just a few photos from last week: 

1) phoenix decided to make something extra special with her playdough this week. i am so glad that she puts her creative imagination to good use. 2) this is the look elijah gave me right after he lost control of his penis on the potty and peed ALL OVER ME. yep, that's right, all over my chest and nearly in my face. 3) i woke up to elijah laying on the floor beside our bed. 4) watching the opening ceremony of the summer olympics. we tried to watch as a family since this only happens every 4 years. next time they come around, my oldest will be 18. whoa!

iphone life

my iphone truly depicts what life is like for me and i love it! i gave up taking tons of photos of my kids this week for my new found focus on how i eat, workout, and just try to live a healthy life.

day 2 of the 30 day shred. 

BLT w/ 2 slices of bacon, lots of lettuce and tomato, and plus also, some delicious sliced peaches on the side.

self explanatory and OH. SO. GOOD!

the little shoe on the bottom right is the kid who was coming to steal elijah's library book.

that's it for this week. now that i finally have a computer, i have been slacking off on using my iphone because i have finally been using my canon 5d mark ii that i got back in march. my computer bit the dust and i couldn't afford to get a new one at the time (you know, because i had just bought the camera) so i wasn't able to edit my photos. i was pretty upset so i rebelled by not using my camera. ha!
