Weekly Wishes #15

WW15

last weeks wishes

Declutter. One more large box added to the others. I am reconsidering the donation to my church after hearing from a close friend that a family in our area, who just so happens to be Mackenzie's middle school boyfriend's family, lost everything in a fire that destroyed their entire home this weekend. I feel compelled to help this family in some way, and I can only hope that the reason I have had such trouble finding the right time to take these boxes of items to my church is because they were meant for someone else. If you don't mind, please say a prayer for this family.

Health and fitness. I knocked this one out of the park. My goal was 8 miles and I ran 15 MILES! Woo hoo! Feeling very accomplished!

Take the kids to see Mr. Peabody & Sherman. Such a cute movie!

Do some research on ADHD. I keep reading some of the same things, but I just don't know where to begin. One of the biggest things I have learned lately is to just trust that the efforts I am making will pay off. To trust God to lead me in the right direction. I feel like if I just always continue to educate myself and try to put into practice what I have learned then I am doing the very best I can.

Prepare for Elijah's Kindergarten registration. The appointments are scheduled, the paperwork is filled out. The only thing I have left to do is pick up his birth certificate. I am just glad I called and spoke to some people because I saved myself $30 and the giant headache I would have gotten if I had to drive into downtown Raleigh and look for a parking spot.

Gather information about gymnastics for Phoenix and Tyler. Only $115 a month for my girls.

Declutter. You will see this here for awhile! If you need some help with your own declutter project, check out 40 bags in 40 days. And again, I love getting inspiration from the website Becoming Minimalist about the freedom of "less".

Health and fitness. Run 8 miles and drink at least 80 oz. of water a day. I am still following along with the March Focus on Fitness over at Fun, Cheap or Free. This week's focus is more sleep, which will be a hard one for me. I am also adding in some of the workouts over at Blogilates, as suggested by someone. I am doing the Beginners Workout Calendar

Start planning for the Easter Bunny. Last year the Easter Bunny worked his butt off preparing cute chalkboard painted, paint cans for each of the kids. They were a big hit, but I just don't see myself going in that direction this year. We always remind the Easter Bunny that candy is not really at the top of our list, so we like to give him a little extra notice when it comes to stuffing our Easter baskets.   What are some non-candy items you like to see the Easter Bunny leave in your child's basket?

Do some research on ADHD. This is another one that will probably be here for awhile. Just reading information and other people's testimonials about ADHD really helps me to better understand why my two girls, Phoenix and Tyler, do what they do. It doesn't make it any easier, but hopefully I can put some of the strategies I am learning into practice, and continue to read more that will help me.

Start planning Mackenzie's 16th birthday. Can you believe I have an almost 16 year old? In a way, I kind of like that I had her at such a young age. If you missed it on my Spring Bucket List, I need to start planning way in advance. I don't even know if I will have a party or what. If you know Mackenzie, you know parties aren't really her thing. But, at the same time, I don't want to under do it for her because... helloooo, 16! Not a big deal at all or anything. I guess the first step is to start hinting around about what kind of celebration she would like.

....................

This week will kind of be more chill because next week Jason will be coming home. We are all so excited! Plus, Phoenix has now moved into the phase where theater practice is EVERY SINGLE DAY! Next Friday night is the play and we can't wait to see it! The whole group has been working hard on this play since November.
