Weekly Wishes #14

ww14

last weeks wishes

Declutter. I filled a few more boxes and bags with trash and stuff to donate.

Health and fitness. I only ran 5 miles this week. Mackenzie spent a couple of days with a friend and I kinda sorta need her to watch the kiddos when I am running. Plus we spent a lot of time outside. I didn't really keep up with my water intake, but I was drinking only water and a lot of it.

Take the kids to see Mr. Peabody & Sherman. We decided to put this off until this coming week instead. It was Spring Break week, but the weather was so nice for most of the week, the kids actually didn't want to be inside at all.

Do some research on ADHD. I did do a little bit of reading and will be trying some new strategies soon. I still want to continue reading more though.

Go for a walk with the kids every day. We didn't actually walk anywhere in the neighborhood, but we spent a lot of time in the yard.

Sand my desk chair. I didn't get to this one. I kinda knew I wasn't going to get to it though. Probably need to do this when they are back in school.

Declutter. I am on a roll... must keep going! If you need some help with your own declutter project, check out 40 bags in 40 days. And again, I love getting inspiration from the website Becoming Minimalist about the freedom of "less".

Health and fitness. Run 8 miles and drink at least 80 oz. of water a day. I am still following along with the March Focus on Fitness over at Fun, Cheap or Free. This week's focus is no added sugar.

Take the kids to see Mr. Peabody & Sherman. Ok, so I know my kids want to see this movie, but now I do, ever since there was a reference to pastor Andy George at our church. If you saw him, you would definitely see the likeness he has with Sherman.

Do some research on ADHD. Just reading information about ADHD really helps me to better understand why my two girls, Phoenix and Tyler, do what they do. It doesn't make it any easier, but hopefully I can put some of the strategies I am learning into practice, and continue to read more that will help me.

Prepare for Elijah's Kindergarten registration. I have a little over 3 weeks before Kindergarten registration, but I want to make sure I have everything I need. Elijah has an appointment coming up, I have filled out the paperwork to get his birth certificate, and I still need to fill out the school paperwork. Fortunately, I have met all of the Kindergarten teachers at the school he will be attending, since my girls went to the same school, and I love each and every one of them. That is definitely a weight off my shoulders.

Gather information about gymnastics for Phoenix and Tyler. Both girls used to take gymnastics and really loved it, but where they took it was so far away. There is a closer gym that I would like for them to go to, but since Phoenix has theater practice several days a week now, I will have to wait until later next month to sign them up. I really want them to do it during the week, because it actually would fit our schedule best, but for now, I need to make a few phone calls to find out all the info. This may even be something I put Elijah into also.
