Weekly Wishes #13

last weeks wishes

Declutter. This is a work in progress but I totally rocked it! 5 boxes of stuff! I am participating in the 40 bags in 40 days and am on a roll.

Run 8 miles. Got them all in again this week! The Color Me Rad 5k is less than a month away now and I can't wait!

Read one chapter. BAM! Did it! I was not going to let that one slip under the radar this week! Ironically, the book I am reading is The Power of Habit. Ha! Perhaps I will learn how to get into the habit of reading!

Drop off some donations at our church. I went and discovered that the day I was there was the one day they are closed to donations. So technically, I did it, but I didn't do it! I guess I won't count it until I have actually made the donation.

Make a fitness tank. I made a couple of these! Check them out here!

Practice letters and numbers with Elijah. Well, we did it, but not without a struggle. I definitely found a more creative way that keeps his attention about 2.5 seconds longer, but I feel like we did make some progress and that's all that matters, right? I eventually convinced him to paint his letter A after telling him that Captain America has an A in his name and that we should mail it to him after he paints it. Whatever works!

Declutter. In my mind, there's always more to get rid of. I love getting inspiration from the website Becoming Minimalist about the freedom of "less".  Plus I will continue filling up my 40 bags for the next few weeks.

Health and fitness. Run 8 miles and drink at least 80 oz. of water a day. I am also following along with the March Focus on Fitness over at Fun, Cheap or Free. This week's focus is drinking your water. It's nice to be able to follow along with other like minded people.

Take the kids to see Mr. Peabody & Sherman. They are all pretty much begging to go.

Do some research on ADHD. If you didn't know, I struggle every day to keep my sanity because Phoenix and Tyler's behavior is out of control. They both have ADHD, and I feel like I am at a point where the only thing I can do anymore is to just keep educating myself on how to handle them better. I am so grateful for the friends and family I have that actually understand what I go through, the time it takes away from my other children, and even my relationship with Jason, and are willing to love and support me through it all.

Go for a walk with the kids every day. It's supposed to be nice at least half of the week, so getting outside will be good for all of us.

Sand my desk chair. Several people are wanting to see my new desk space, but I don't want to share until I have completed everything, including the chair. I actually had this chair already and started sanding it last year, but didn't get around to finishing it. It's time to make some progress on it!
