If you've been around here long enough, you may already know the story of how Jason and I met. We actually met on MySpace when that was all the rage, and the word "catfish" actually meant a fish in lakes and ponds. We talked for awhile before actually meeting in person, and even video chatted a few times and got to meet Ryan and Jacob. He was still in the Marines and stationed in Havelock, NC right off the Cherry Point base, so one weekend, I decided to drive the 3 hours down to attend the yearly airshow with him. It was the perfect public place, who know, in case he turned out to be a psycho.
It was the hottest day of the year and I was sweating like a pig, but we still had a fabulous time. And when we were getting ready to leave... the battery in his Explorer was dead because he had left the lights on. I had driven my car separately, but didn't have any jumper cables, and I could tell he was incredibly embarrassed about having to walk back on base and ask to borrow some jumper cables.
Needless to say, that didn't change the way I felt about him, and we keep jumper cables in our vehicles at all times now! Ha!
