to be honest, i am quite sick of the whole mustache thing now. however, my girls are still in love with this little trend, so i decided to go with this theme one more time for valentine's day. needless to say, they are pretty excited, not to mention, i get cool mom points for providing my kids with one of a kind valentines to share with their friends. 

they are pretty simple, but you are welcome to download them for yourself as well and use them however you like. FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY, PLEASE.

i also went hunting around for some of those sticker mustaches that can be worn. below are two places i found really good deals on sticker mustaches if you would like to invest in them to go along with these cards.

walmart: always low...standards?

i have been waiting to share this all week. every time i look at elijah's santa photo from last year, it makes me laugh.

the last couple of years, walmart has offered a free photo with santa.  we always take the kids to see santa at the mall and always take the pictures ourselves. however, if someone is going to give me something for free, then i am all over it.

i had seen the santa several times that first year but had already taken my kids to see our mall santa, and didn't discover i could have gotten a free pic. until it was too late.

so last year i was prepared. someone had mentioned it early, i marked the date on my calendar and we hopped in the car that day to visit jolly old saint nick.

apparently walmart had lowered their santa standards from the previous year because what we discovered was more like santa's drunken brother from another mother.

i understand this man certainly can't help the way he looks. i am not complaining about him for everyday appearances, but this is santa for goodness sakes, and i am sure that this is not the man children envision when they think of santa claus.

however, elijah didn't know any better, so of course i had to capture this memorable moment and still get my free photo. 

then we quickly hopped back in the van and drove our butts over to the mall.

that's why i LOVE swagbucks.

swagbucks is a rewards system that lets you earn virtual dollars, or swagbucks, for doing things like searching the web, taking polls, or shopping online at a number of different websites.  the points earned can be redeemed for awesome prizes, including my favorite, amazon gift cards.

the best way to earn points is by downloading the swagbucks toolbar.  the toolbar includes a search engine that periodically rewards users with additional swagbucks simply for searching the web.  basically, i am being rewarded for something i already do. sure, why not?

swagbucks recently added swagbucks tv also.  now, i can watch videos, just like i would find on you tube, and get rewarded.

when i shop online, i always check to see if the website i am shopping at will earn me points at swagbucks.  for every dollar i spend, i earn swagbucks.

like i said, my favorite way to spend my swagbucks is to trade them in for amazon gift cards.  just recently i purchased a konad nail kit i had been admiring at amazon and paid absolutely nothing for it.

They both are point earning sites that I use when I am doing online shopping. I did 99% of my Christmas shopping online and earned points for every dollar I spent. After I reached a certain number of points, I redeemed the points I earned for stuff. Stuff like a $25 Applebee's gift card and a $25 itunes gift card. $50 FREE...Simply by doing something I was going to do anyways. And, I didn't even use all of my points. I have enough left to probably get a $10 gift card for something else. I think I will save that for later though.

I also earn points for checking emails and because I downloaded their search engine and use it the same as google. I search, I earn.

Over at The Frugal Girls, they have found all the great FREE music downloads that are sure to put you in the holiday spirit. I just downloaded at least 20 different Christmas songs including music from Jars of Clay and Casting Crowns. Seminary NOT Cemetery! (A Day of Photos and FREE Christmas Cards)

I told the kiddos we were going to the Seminary to take photos for our Christmas card and the first thing Red said was "Why the Seminary? Why do you want us to take pictures with dead people?"

The photo at the top is the one we chose for our Christmas cards. Not my favorite one, but Little Monster was grumpy and the card wouldn't be complete without him in the photo. I actually didn't get him to look up at the camera, but I chose this one anyway because he is in it and the rest of the kids looked pretty good too (Princess showed her tail like usual, but you would never know from the photos).

Surprisingly, after we got home, I came across a code that I got HERE from Money Saving Mom for FREE photo cards from SeeHere. I used the photo I told you about earlier on the card, added a frame, some text with a pretty font, and placed my order. I got 50 photo cards for FREE including FREE shipping too. What a great deal! Now, to find some free stamps. Ha!

Is Your Mailman Stealing Your Mail???

I read THIS great post on one of my favorite "Freebies" blogs, Free Sample Freak, about people who are concerned about their mail carrier (can't say mailman, mine is a woman), stealing their mail, including magazines, free samples, coupons, etc. Check out her post and find out what you can do if you suspect that your mail carrier is tampering with your mail. This is a federal offense!

I actually had an issue with my mail carrier a while back that I blogged about HERE on an old blog of mine. (excuse the giant mess over there! I left in a hurry, leaving my old blog unloved and neglected like an unwanted puppy...Poor Thing!)

Lastly, check out THIS news story about a mail carrier who was stealing from the mail recipients on his route. Shame, Shame!
