i've seen this in a few places so i thought i would join in the fun.
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. although i do love egg nog too (the real stuff with alcohol *grin*) but, to be honest, i would totally pass on both of those for a nice hot cup of coffee. yum!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? He definitely wraps them. sometimes he even wraps them in the same paper we do. what a coincidence, huh? (haha! no i'm kidding. santa always wraps in his special santa paper)
5. When do you put your decorations up? i usually have them up by now but i just can't get in the mood this year. i think it has a lot to do with how rushed this year has felt. i feel like i just took them down from last year.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? white. i grew up with colored lights. it was like a rainbow vomited all over our house and although i loved it then, it just isn't my thing now.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? no. there really isn't anywhere to hang it in our open floorplan.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? anything my stepmom cooks. she is my own personal paula deen.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? having all of my aunts and uncles and cousins together at my grandparents house every year and all the cooking and baking that my grandmother did.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? i think my cousin told me.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? if we do, it is usually pajamas, but i already bought my kids pajamas and they have been wearing them so we probably won't this year.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? with about 7 strands of white lights (yes, whoa! total fire hazard, but i love lots of lights), ornaments from my childhood and that have been collected as a family over the years, and a star on top.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? hate it! i love the fantasy of waking up on christmas to about 2 feet of snow and sitting by a warm fire drinking hot cocoa, listening to christmas music, eating yummy foods, and slowly opening gifts all day, but this is reality. so, of course in reality, tomorrow i will need to run to the store for milk and toilet paper or my babies will be stuck drinking chocolate water and wiping their heinies with dryer sheets because i can't get anywhere. yep, still hate it!

14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? spending time with my family. i really want my children to learn the importance of family togetherness rather than the greed for "stuff".
