fat butt friday is back!


if you have been reading for awhile, then you may remember last year when i used to write every friday about my weight loss journey. well, if you remember that, then you might remember that that journey didn't end so well. i was really hoping that putting myself out there would keep me motivated, but it didn't. 

recently, i started taking myself a little more seriously though. i got tired of looking in the mirror at something i didn't love or avoiding the mirror all together because i was just so sick of what i had let myself become. along the way, i tried to make changes, even participating in a jillian michaels 30 day shred challenge back in june of this year, but i guess i still hadn't hit rock bottom until the last month or so. 

all those times i had tried to lose weight before, i can honestly say that i didn't lose one pound. NOT ONE! 

so, what changed my mind?

for one, i was miserable. absolutely miserable...and depressed. depression is still something i am getting over, but i have totally seen the difference in my mood in the short time i have been making all these changes. 

i truly feel like a different person. and, for the first time in over six months, i have gotten up and taken a shower every day for the last month. i am definitely one of those people that really should take a shower every day (my hair gets super oily and disgusting mainly), but i wasn't doing that.  i just didn't feel like it. 

i am not out to be skinny, i want to be happy and healthy...but skinny would be nice!

so, i am bringing back fat butt friday to share with you my progress every week, share some recipes and exercises i have been enjoying, confess my failures, and brag about my victories. at the bottom of each post every week, i will share with you my weight from the previous week and the current week and a few photos of some of the stuff i have been eating throughout the week. if you would like to join me you are welcome to do so. just let me know in the comments so i can keep up with your progress as well.

153.6 lbs. - current weight
