shutter love tuesday & learning to just point and shoot

all too often, i have a hard time just snapping a simple photo.  i look around, making sure that i am standing in the right light, that no light posts or tree branches are growing out of anyone's head, and that there isn't anything weird laying on the ground.

here is photo i took last year demonstrating the importance of making sure you check what's in the background before you snap a photo:

i am entering this photo in this week's Shutter Love Tuesday over at Trendy Treehouse. don't you just love those bunny ears on top of Mack's head?

it was the first thing she said when she saw the photo..."I have bunny ears!"
but who cares right?  well, at that time, this little blooper was not okay, i was actually trying to get a good shot. but, while on vacation in virginia, i told myself, "don't focus on getting the right photo, just focus on capturing the moment".

i actually did do that, but it's harder than i thought, and even after going back to look at them, i couldn't help cropping some of them to try fixing them. either way, i am going to continue to work harder on learning to "just take the dang picture" and not worrying so much about what they look like at the time.

be on the lookout for our vacation photos of Virginia, coming later on this week. i promised you they would be here soon! :)

and be sure to stop by Trendy Treehouse to check out all of the other bloopers and outakes photos from this week's photo challenge.
