i can definitely see the changes as nature is slowly changing over to fall.
1. signs of fall
i have been wearing my duke blue devils hoodie to keep me warm each morning as we rush out the door to the school carpool lines.
even little E has been enjoying his handy manny zippered jacket. he never keeps a hat on but he keeps the hood of that jacket on. such a handsome little guy.
as we drove to school friday morning, Phoenix took notice of the colorful leaves. i hadn't even noticed how much they have changed already until she mentioned it.
2. an outbreak
saturday morning, Phoenix came to me while i was still in bed and told me her face was itchy. when i looked up, i was shocked to see a rash covering her entire face from the hair line to her collar. i took her to the weekend urgent care at her pediatrician's office to have it checked out. they looked in her throat and saw that there was some bumps on the back of her tongue too. they ran a strep test and that wasn't it and they ruled out roseola too.
"just a virus"
don't you just hate those words?
could they not be more specific so that i don't come home and look up every rash there is to compare it to and come to my own unprofessional conclusion that my child has german measles.
the diagnosis just wasn't good enough for me.
we're going back again today!
and, we are sooo taking more than one sticker when we leave.
who cares what the sign says!
double dr. stickers for a very itchy little girl today!
3. don't act like such a leotard!
mackenzie really wants to be a cheerleader next year, and i am so excited for her. she is small enough to be a perfect flier.
however...
the problem with this would be that Mack doesn't have one pinch of gymnastics skills in her.
when she was 4 i enrolled her in a gymnastics class that we VERY SOON after removed her from.
lets just say her behavior was less than perfect. apparently, she assumed that she was on a giant playground and had free range of the gym to run, jump, swing, and scream, and act like a "leotard".
so it's time to shuffle some $ around so we can get her enrolled and prepared for cheerleading next year. progress reports tomorrow. i know she has been doing well.
this is where i added some other stuff that didn't save. and then there was an error and then...
I JUST DIDN'T FEEL LIKE RETYPING IT ALL OVER AGAIN! GRRRR!
i have a headache and i am going to go lay down.
have a wonderful week!
come link up!
