Fat Butt Friday - I Am So Proud

"One of my New Year's wishes was to shed some of the weight I had gained during my pregnancy with Little Monster, and so in my attempt to do so, I felt it was harder to hide late night snacking and lack of motivation if I put myself on the line and in the spotlight. Every Friday, I will be sharing my weight loss journey (including my successes and failures), as well as delicious recipes, meal ideas, and exercise suggestions. You just have no idea how hard the simple change of making sure I drink 8-8oz. glasses of water each day is for me. I have always been one to get a huge headache at the end of the day and then realize that it is because I have had nothing to drink all day...my body's way of telling me I am thirsty and getting dehydrated.

So... I am so proud of myself for keeping up with all this water drinking and vitamin taking I have been doing. To me, it is harder than doing a work out because I have to constantly remind myself of it.

Next week, I think I may be procrastinating however, I am going to continue one more week with making sure I drink my fluids before adding in the exercise again. By next Friday, I should be good to go. Isn't it 21 days to become a habit?

Ready for another healthy snack?

This is not so much a recipe but more of an idea, or rather a tweak on one of histories oldest snack foods...POPCORN!
You can enjoy popcorn so many ways other than just plain. Adding herbs and spices can completely transform your popcorn from plain and boring to tasty. Here are some ideas but you can experiment with some of your own creations.
  • cinnamon
  • dill
  • chili powder
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • seasoning salt (use in small doses)
  • taco seasonings
  • sugar free Kool Aid
This is a great way to enjoy this great healthy snack in a variety of different ways.
