"One of my New Year's wishes was to shed some of the weight I had gained during my pregnancy with Little Monster, and so in my attempt to do so, I felt it was harder to hide late night snacking and lack of motivation if I put myself on the line and in the spotlight. Every Friday, I will be sharing my weight loss journey (including my successes and failures), as well as delicious recipes, meal ideas, and exercise suggestions. Join me if you accept the challenge to lose weight and gain a healthier life! (Don't forget to grab my button in the sidebar)"
Guess What? I checked my weight today and discovered that I am at 9 lbs. lost. I was super excited. Maybe by next Friday, I can celebrate my first 10 lbs. lost. I really think that having a salad with my meals has helped me out so much. And surprisingly, I am not sick of them yet. Perhaps changing up the dressing will help if I ever start to get that "Oh my gosh, if I eat one me salad" feeling. Not there yet!
I am pressed for time this week and just wanted to take a few to update you on my accomplishments and share this healthy lunch idea with you.
Bagel Pizza
Cut a whole wheat bagel in half and scoop out all the extra dough in the middle then toast. Fill it with grilled chicken breast (last night's grilled chicken leftovers would be great), some sliced avocado , sliced tomato, and some shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese (don't go overboard on the cheese). You can also add black olives before the cheese if you like (which I like). Place in the oven and heat until cheese is melted.
You can add a fresh fruit to the side but I am telling you this will fill you up. Just always remember to drink your water in between bites and you will fill up so much faster and not feel like a fat cat that needs a nap. I just cannot eat a big meal in the middle of a work day or I will become tired and grumpy.
How have you been doing? What are some things that you eat for lunch?
Have a great weekend! And if it is nice in your area...get out there, enjoy the warm weather, and move around!
