What Can You Do?

What does that number mean to you? Nothing unless you were there. I can not relate to their pain, but there is something I can do. I can pray.

I may never know what that feels like. I may never experience the terror of an earthquake at all. And I hope to never have to live through a tragedy like the one that the people of Haiti are experiencing right now. I {pray} to give them strength. I {pray} to ease the pain. I {pray} for the living, suffering, and departed. My heart aches for them.

The earache I have been experiencing this week suddenly seems so petty.
