This is an idea a co-worker and I came up with before Christmas, but I couldn't share it with you because I made some of these for my oldest daughter, who has been known to occasionally read my blog.
I found the idea to make these lollipops using an infant onesie t-shirt, but my co-worker came up with trying to make them out of socks. Brilliant Idea! And not to mention, extremely simple to make. I made all of these in about 15 minutes and placed one with each outfit I got Red for Christmas. She {loved} them! In fact, she loved them so much that she didn't want to open them to actually wear the socks.
They make a great gift for any child, but I made one (just one) for my mom too, and she was just as thrilled to get one as well. I may make some for sweet little Gracie for her birthday coming up in a couple months.Edited
Here are the directions for making these socks.
You will need:
at least one pair of socks (colorful socks work best)
clear tape
lollipop sticks or popsicle sticks
clear lollipop bags or cellophane
twist ties or ribbon
Take one of the socks and roll it up long way, jelly roll style. Place a piece of clear tape to hold. Do the same with the second sock.
Take one of the rolled up socks and roll it from the toe to the top of the sock, once again jelly roll style. Place a piece of clear tape to hold. Take the second sock and place the toe end to the top end of the other sock and roll it around the other sock to complete the head of the lollipop. Place a piece of tape to hold.
Place a lollipop stick in the back and secure with tape.
Place the "lollipop" in a lollipop bag or cover with the cellophane and add the twist tie or ribbon.
Hey those are CUTE! Where are the directions??? Come on, u gotta share! :)
