i heart faces | smile

this was a dark and grainy SOOC shot but i loved his little smile so i touched it up A LOT and am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

believe it or not, this little guy has mastered smiling when he sees mommy pointing the camera at him. and i know when he is sick of my picture taking when he gives me the closed eyes look and yells "noooooo".  it makes me laugh but of course i never stop.

there are so many to choose from, but i chose this photo as my best face photo of 2010. this photo really highlights how much mackenzie has grown and changed in the last year.  this beautiful girl turns 13 this year and i must admit, i am a little scared of that! 

the teenage years! yikes! 

i need words of encouragement that everything will be okay.

i heart faces | pet faces

this week's theme over at i heart faces is pet faces.

 
honestly, we don't have any actual pets.  no cats or dogs that is. 

we bought our children a fish tank and a bunch of fish earlier this summer, but they are boring and no matter how many photos i took, i just couldn't get a good one.

jason accidentally ran over this little guy with the riding mower one weekend this past summer and we put him in an old dirty kiddie pool we had. he stuck around for couple weeks.  he would leave and come back until one day he never came back.  for a couple weeks the kids considered this little guy a pet.

real quick 'cause i'm STILL sick

hey that rhymes!

i just can't get rid of this cold, but i wanted to join in with a couple challenges this morning.

i seriously did nothing but throw a couple actions on these photos. i used some actions that i had never used before to try to go for a new look.

i'll decide later when i am feeling better whether or not i like them. let me know what you think.

this week's photo challenge theme over at a sorta fairytale is thanksgiving - what are you thankful for.

i am thankful for all 60 toes that fill these shoes!

and of course the feet, legs, arms, and heads that are connected to these amazing children of mine!

 

 

this week's theme over at i heart faces is paper.

elijah loves to color. it's a BEWARE kind of situation because if he gets ahold of crayons, he is sure to put up a fight if you try to take them away. this picture kind of reminds me of picture from a newspaper.

i heart faces - silhouettes

i think for me, silhouettes happen on accident more so than when i am actually trying.  i took this photo this week of my little guy in the bathtub, and it might be pushing it a little bit as a silhouette, but it was as close as i could get and still keep it within the archives of this century for me.  i had a few from last year, but i just didn't want to go digging for them.

the only edit to this photo is that i made it b&w.
