the good, the bad, & the ugly: 100 things about me | part 8: it's all in the numbers

goodness, this really has taken me FOREVER to get out there. i have been so incredibly busy lately so i am going to try to knock out these last few out in one big post. so, here goes...

81. 1,500 - the approximate number of dvd movies we own. it's insane!

82. 11/30 - my birthday!

83. 8013 - my childhood street address. i grew up in raleigh, NC.

84. 8 - the number of cars i have owned since i was 16. and now that i am thinking about it, they have all been foreign cars.

85. 1997 - the year i graduated high school.

86. 19 - the age i had my first child. i was still so young.

87. 6/7 - mine and jason's anniversary.

88. 5 - the number of hours it will probably take me to finish this list.

89. 3 - the number of times i have had a babysitter for all of my children in the last year. i am desperate to go out and have an adult good time.

90. 7 and 7 -  my favorite drink.

91. 4 - the number of tattoos i have.

92. 3 - the number of years i took spanish in school.  i made all A's, but sadly, i know very little spanish these days.

93. 7 - my shoe size. and apparently this is the most popular women's shoe size because it is always so difficult to find shoes i like in my size. they are always sold out!

94. 3 - the age i was when i fell out of a shopping carriage and cracked my skull.

okay, so these are getting really lame and this list was way harder than i thought it would be. here are the last few really lame-o things about me in numbers.

95. 40 - the number of pounds i would like to lose.

96. 2 - the number of times i usually go to target every week.

97. 100 - the number of times i have watched toy story 3 in the last 30 days. at least that many. seriously no joke! E is obsessed.

98. 6:00 - the time i usually get up every morning.

99. 2008 - the year i started blogging.

100. 6 - the number of kids i have. DUH!

there you have it! all 100 things about me. i really am not that exciting and i am sure there are so many more things i could probably tell you but i seem to draw a blank when trying to make these lists.

here we go! part 4 of this long drawn out series all about me. we are almost half way there. if you missed the others, you can find them all HERE.

26. i have always had a slight obsession with drew barrymore. i even have several scrapbooks i have done that i have now passed on to mackenzie, only because i couldn't bare the thought of throwing them away. she has them hidden because if you remember, i don't like to keep things i don't use.

27. i could eat chips and salsa every day for the rest of my life. it's like an addiction.

28. roller coasters rock! jason isn't too fond of them so i am glad mackenzie loves them as much as i do. she is my roller coaster riding partner. we have already gotten our money's worth our of our busch gardens and water country season passes.

29. halloween is my absolute favorite holiday.

30. blogging has turned out to be far more than i ever expected and i love that! i started blogging in 2008 right after i found out i was pregnant with elijah.

31. i love the movie UP. i have probably watched it 1,000 times in the last year.

32. penguins are one of my favorite animals. but all those penguin movies kinda suck.

33. i have enjoyed photography since i was younger. my first real camera was a canon rebel in 11th grade.

34. dawson's creek is my all time favorite tv show. i have the collection on dvd and watch it at least once a year.

35. i love swimming. before my step father passed away, the house my mom lived in had an in ground pool. i lost 50 lbs. swimming in that pool everyday one summer. i wish we had a pool.

16. spiders, roaches, and flies totally creep me out. last year i was cleaning my blinds outside and i felt something on my shoulder. when i looked over, it was a GIANT yellow spider. i am pretty sure the neighbors thought i was being murdered.

17. I DO NOT LIKE ONIONS! i am not a picky eater at all, but this is one food i can't stand.

18. i am so afraid of the dark. dark woods, dark house, driving all alone at night. all of it!

19.  i will not swim in a lake. as a child i did all the time. then, there was one time that i touched the bottom and i was done. never liked it since.

20. i don't like talking on the phone. if you call me, there is always an awkward silence at some point because all i am thinking about is when you are going to tell me you need to go.

21. cigarette smoke makes me want to gag!  ironically, i used to smoke. something i am definitely not proud of. i haven't smoked in over 10 years.

22. burger king food makes me sick just thinking about it. funny enough, my step father used to be the VP of a franchise company that used to own most of the burger king restaurants in the raleigh, durham area of NC. perhaps it's because i ate it too much as a child.

23. clutter drives me insane.  i seriously go through my house at least once a week and get rid of stuff. i want the least amount of stuff possible. if we don't use it, i don't want it.

24. hard core rap music and heavy metal music. i don't like it. period.

25. loud noises. fire trucks, ambulances, and loud screams give me panic attacks. fire trucks are so loud they make me cry. it's some kind of reaction for how my body deals with the incredibly loud noise they make. weird but true!

the good, the bad, & the ugly: 100 things about me | part 2: old habits die hard

here are just a few more things about me on my journey to 100.

11. i was a pro at thumb sucking as a child. i sucked my thumb until i was in 4th grade. i even remember my mom putting all kinds of weird concoctions on my thumb to get me to stop without success.

12. i twirl my hair. i believe it started shortly after i stopped sucking my thumb. my hair twirling annoys my mom. sometimes i don't even realize i am doing it. i usually twirl the most when i am in deep thought.

13. i am an obsessive nail cutter. i don't bite my nails, but i can NOT stand long nails. when mine get just a little bit long, i get a little freaked out. they don't bother me on other people, just on me.

14. i am terrible OCD about things. i can NOT buy anything with damaged packaging. if a corner is crushed or bent, i won't buy it, even if it's the last one. if i touch a package or open something like a shampoo to smell it, i will put it back and get another one.

15. listmaking. i make at least 3 or more lists of some sort every day.

the good, the bad, & the ugly: 100 things about me | part 1: the physical side of me

i started this 100 things about me on twitter awhile back, before finally deciding to it here instead. then i saw a few other bloggers out there doing this on their blogs and decided to continue it here too.

i only got up to like the first 20, so it's not a total repeat of something i have already done. plus, this time, i am going to break this down into several posts with specific categories to make it easier to keep up with. it is definitely harder than you think to come up with 100 different things.

so, let's jump right in with the first few.

1. i have green eyes. most times they look really green, but sometimes they look really blue and sometimes they even look golden. it depends on what i wear and the lighting.

2. i am only 5 ft. tall and hate it!

3. i wear size 7 shoe.

4. my natural hair color was blonde before i started dying it. recently i went back to my "natural" color and it is now brown. i suppose dying it all these years has changed it. either that or age.

5. i have 4 tattoos. yes, one of them is a tramp stamp. the others are on the back of my neck, my left ankle, and my upper right arm.

6. i have my ears pierced with 4 holes in each ear, but i only use one hole in each ear now. i make sure they don't close just in case i get in a mood to put something in them.

7. i used to have my belly button pierced and my tongue pierced too, but that got old quick.

8. before having kids my bra size was a 34B. now...DD. thanks kiddos!

9. my teeth are straight and i've never had braces, considering i sucked my thumb until i was in 4th grade.

10. i have a metal plate in my jaw holding my lower mandible together from an incident with my ex husband several years ago.
