8 weeks to a better me | week 5: loving life & having fun

no, i didn't forget to post about this, i just got so busy.

first of all, my computer finally bit the dust. as of this moment, i am doing this post on my son's netbook. i have no photo editing software, i have none of my bookmarks, and i am feeling quite frustrated by all of it. i am planning a trip to check out some new computers tomorrow. i found one i love online, but i was convinced by the love of my life to go to the store and get some hands on first.

i guess you could say i did pretty well with my goals last week. i think i may have danced only once, but i was in a pretty good mood all week for the most part because i knew jason was coming home for the weekend.

i actually did wake and get dressed up twice last week like i had set as one of my goals. i can't say i got "dressed up", but i definitely did wash my hair, shave my legs, put on make up, lotion, and body spray, and did my hair. definitely not something i do on the daily!

one of the biggest things i did for myself was to finally make a full on commitment to lose weight. if you have been keeping up, you know i joined up with a group of mommy bloggers to do the 30 day shred during the month of june.

my weight issues are definitely what have been holding me back and making me feel depressed. knowing that i have taken that step to make changes has already started to change how i feel. it's such a great feeling.

i am excited about this week's theme and look forward to working on the goals i will be setting.

this week's theme is loving life & having fun.

three goals for loving life & having fun this week:
  • look for beauty in everything and document it: at least one day this week i will take my dslr with me everywhere i go and document my day.
  • dress for yourself, and do it each day: i pretty much do this every day. although i don't dress way up, putting on jeans and a comfy t-shirt make me feel good. however, my goal will be to go through my clothes and get rid of everything that doesn't make me feel good when i wear it.
  • stop speaking negatively of others: i don't make it a habit to talk negatively of others but i definitely have found myself getting stuck in the middle of all the he said she said drama. my goal is not to speak negatively of others even when others are.

if you would like to read more about dani's 8 week's to a better me project, just hop over to her blog.
or you can catch up with me by reading some of my personal goals that i have been setting each week as i have been following along.
