who's kid? umm...MINE!
off and on since he was old enough to eat real food, i have still been giving elijah fruit and veggie pouches to make sure he gets a variety of foods and nutrients into his system, and most recently i have been giving him enfagrow premium older toddler milk. the milk has added nutrients picky toddlers often times are lacking from their diets that help them grow and develop.
i like having the food pouches and the enfagrow because they are convenient and easy to throw in my purse for on the go, especially when we have one of those days where we are out all day. elijah will drink the enfagrow pretty well, but isn't 100% fond of the taste, so when we use them at home, i mix it with a little bit of almond milk and he knows no difference.
here is a quick little recipe i even came up with that is packed full of yummy for your little one.
apple banana cinnamon toddler smoothie
you will need:
- 1 cup (one 8 oz. container) of enfagrow toddler milk
- 1 apple, peeled and cored
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tbs. almonds, pre soaked
- 2 tbs. oatmeal, pre soaked
- 1/2 tsp. stevia
- 1 cup ice
add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
if your kid won't eat oatmeal like mine, this is like having oatmeal without the argument with your toddler. enfagrow has 25 key nutrients and higher levels of vitamins C and E than cow's milk. so this makes an awesome meal or snack that your kid will love and you can feel good about.
do you have a pickier toddler than me? how do you get a variety of foods into your child's diet?
