a contestant on wipeout!

the other day elijah was fun of energy and bouncing off the walls. he was running all over the house, climbing on everything he could, and even jumping on the furniture. all too often when he gets like this, he usually gets hurt.

here is our conversation:

mommy: elijah, please stop jumping on the couch.

elijah: i cant!

mommy: yes, you can. stop.

elijah: i can't!

mommy: why not?

elijah: i can't cause i'm playing wipeout!

a response like that deserves some couch jumping.  how am i supposed to parent my child appropriately, when he isn't listening, with a comment like? simply hilarious!

and if you are unfamiliar with wipeout, it is a ridiculously stupid, but funny, obstacle course, game show, on tv. check out this video to see what i mean.
