just recently, mackenzie's hampster, mistletoe, passed away. mackenzie got mistletoe for christmas this past year, so she didn't live a very long little life.
mackenzie did a wonderful job taking care of mistletoe and nothing she did led to her death. we honestly do not know what caused her death. but, i am proud of how well mackenzie took care of her, being her first real pet. she always made sure she had enough water and food, played with her, and cleaned out her cage. she did it all on her own.
the day she passed away, mackenzie was really upset, and we did everything we could to assure her that it was nothing she did. we made sure we gave mistletoe a proper burial in our backyard as well.
this is my little tribute to mistletoe, as i am sure that mackenzie will always remember her.
