near our home is this park/dam/fishing/paddle boating place that we love. we've been there several times, and whenever we go, it's never really crowded. i have never really figured out why. it truly is a perfect little place.
this week was spring break for our kiddos, so we had to make sure we did something besides hang out at the house all week.
we stopped at a little gas station on the way and purchased some live bait to fish with. nothing is nastier to me than putting a worm on a hook. but, this brave mama does it.
and, if you want to fish, you MUST bait your own hook!
i caught three fish for the record!
it's always a catch and release kind of fishing trip for us, but at the end of this day, we didn't walk away empty handed. we had a few more wonderful memories and...
a sunburn! ugh!
