suprisingly, jason and i met in one of the last places i ever expected to find love. MYSPACE. i was a late bloomer to the myspace world and i never really had a big interest in it when i finally arrived to the scene. it was also at a rocky time in my first marriage. i used myspace as an escape from my rotten real life. i enjoyed changing my background, and chatting with my friends, and sending comments, and just getting away from the reality of my home life.
eventually, i ended my 10 year marriage and while living on my own, jason came into my life. we were myspace friends, nothing more, who enjoyed chatting every now and then. he told me all about his life as a u.s. marine, i told him all about my life as an early childhood educator. i told him all about my three girls, he told me all about his two boys.
one day he asked me to go to the air show on the miltary base where he was stationed. i was a little skeptical, not ever meeting him before, and driving the 3 hours away to meet a man i only knew from a few phone calls and chats online. however, i agreed and the rest is history.
for awhile we traveled back and forth to visit one another until his final term was up in the marines and he moved up here with me.
he may or may not tell you this, but he was totally head over heels in love with me the moment he met me.
oh...and, get this...that day that i met him for the airshow it was literally the hottest day of summer and he totally left a light on in his explorer, so when we got back to leave, his battery was dead. he was beyond embarrassed.
