1. just a few little oddities
brooklyn and phoenix have been friends since they were babies just about 15 months old. they were in the same infant room class at the childcare center my children went to and that i worked at. they have been friends ever since that first day. i always thought it was ironic that their names were both that of u.s cities on opposite sides of the the u.s. no less. phoenix is one month older than brooklyn. 1 month and two days to be exact.
brooklyn has a little sister, adrianna. adrianna and tyler are best friends. they have been friends since they were babies too. tyler is older than adrianna by one month. again, one month and two days to be exact. which means the age between brooklyn and adrianna is exactly the same as the age between phoenix and tyler.
is it just me looking into it too much or is that not odd? a little freaky? like they were meant to be friends.
2. play-doh, whoa, whoa!
sadly, we don't live in the same school district as brooklyn and adrianna, so the girls don't get to see each other often. between the both of our families, life is always busy. so we jumped on the chance to have them over.
although enjoyable, life was crrraaazy that day!
luckily, we have at least 50 containers of play-doh and it certainly came in handy the other day when i had five children five and under, plus three big kids. 8 children! don't feel sorry for me! we had a blast!
the kids has so much fun making play-doh creations for a couple hours.
3. dancing the night away!
brooklyn and adrianna brought a game for us to try out on the xbox kinect. a dancing game that we all enjoyed so much that when the girls left, we raced out and bought it for ourselves. that night, i cooked 150 chicken wings smothered in a homemade barbecue sauce, homemade bacon and cheese potato skins, and fresh homemade salsa and enjoyed a night of food and dancing fun with the kids and friends as we celebrated the new year.
check out this video of mackenzie playing dance central for the xbox kinect.
i hope everyone enjoyed celebrating the new year in their own special way.
i wish you all a very happy new year!
