of course, you've heard me say that they are going to be scooby doo characters, and the kids are so excited. and yes, we have already been talking about ideas for next year. so far the adam's family and classic horror movie characters have been thrown out there.
2. scary movie month - from october 1-31, i try to watch as many horror/scary movies as i can. i don't watch a whole lot of tv throughout the year except during this time. i love the amc fearfest. i have kept it on that channel since it started on the 18th.
our must watch movie? oddly enough it has somehow become 13 ghosts (the new version of 13 ghosts). we even throw in a few of the goosebumps movies for the little ones who don't tolerate the scary movies too well.
don't think i'm not going to watch the classics though.
3. bedford - several years ago we started trick-or-treating in bedford when we discovered that the neighborhood we live in is filled with a bunch of halloween scrooges. bedford is a HUGE neighborhood about 20 minutes from our home. a dream neighborhood. i would totally live there if the houses were just a wee bit further apart.
oh, and if the houses were more like our price range.
however, besides those two little flaws, this neighborhood during halloween is like something straight from a movie.
nearly every house is over done with the very best decorations. children and families walking up and down EVERY street. home owners sitting on their porches and steps passing out candy. eerie sounds and laughter from all angles. homemade haunted houses and more.
there was even a garage band last year. just some kids in their... garage. they were great. they should totally be famous by now.
what are some of your favorite things about halloween? is it the parties, the candy, or something else?
