- This weekend is going to be the beginning of some super busy week's ahead for us. I have been working my rump to the bone (not literally, because I can still see that big thing when I walk past a mirror) trying to get my house cleaned up and in order before we take off for Georgia next Wednesday. Georgia fun, HERE WE COME!
- Tomorrow is the start of it all. First we are heading out to The Festival for the Eno. If you aren't from my area, then of course you may not know what that is, but it is basically a craft fair/music festival on the Eno River. I am looking forward to putting my feet in the river. It is a beautiful place. Go HERE to check out some amazing photos of the 2009 Festival for the Eno.
- I have been enjoying some Bluegrass Music lately, thanks to my Daddy. I will be able to enjoy more of it at the Festival. Bought him an iPod for Father's Day and put the world's largest Bluegrass music collection on it for him. I think it was the best gift ever for him. I've been told he wears it in the shower. Hahahaha! No, not really, but he loves it a lot!
- We did not rush out like everyone else did to see Twilight: Eclipse the other night. Tomorrow night is a double feature at the drive-in with Toy Story 3 playing first. We will soooo be there!
- The other day I found this candle holder in all of Jason's stuff we unpacked. I painted it white and found these candles at Michael's. Perfect holiday decor!
I have chubby crooked toes, no doubt from a lifetime of bare feet (all the time) as
a child, flip flops as an adult, and plenty of broken toes along the way.- Today: I painted my toes 4th of July style! Another one to cross off that summer bucket list of mine. That dang white polish was a nightmare. It was old and not being cooperative, but I managed to work it!
- Sunday: Going to the Fairgrounds to see the fireworks. I love to go out and watch them, but I absolutely dislike the traffic. The best part - Completely Free! - that totally makes up for that terrible traffic.
- The Pioneer Woman is sharing everyone's best America photos right now. Go check them out because some of them are just breathtaking.
- Remember this ol' thing I posted about way back here? Found this at the Goodwill and it sat and sat in my laundry room. Then, suddenly I needed something to hang some of my necklaces and earrings on, so I scooped this bad boy up and hung it on the wall. I did absolutely nothing to it. Not sure what it was originally but it came with a piece of glass. It may have been a hot plate of some sort, I don't know, but it is doing a fine job holding my jewelry and making my wall look pretty at the same time.
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend with whomever you decide to share the holiday with. Be safe in your travels, and safe if you are doing your own fireworks presentation at home. Happy 4th!
