Winter to Summer Pajamas

Believe it or not, my little short stack is growing out of her winter pajamas. She has had them since the beginning of... not this past winter, but the winter before.  I could very easily rush out and buy more pajamas, but I decided to extend the life of these {cute} little PJs instead.

To do this, I simply cut the legs into shorts and the arms into short sleeves and then hemmed them up.

I turned them inside out to cut them.

Inside out makes it so much easier to get a straight cut.

Once I cut them, I pinned them and sewed them up.  Since this material was a little stretchy, I made sure I stretched the fabric as I sewed so that later on if it was stretched, it would not break the stitching.

Ta-Da! Wanna know what I did with the fabric that was cut off?

I used some of it to make Gracie (Gracie is what my little munchkin named her doll, after my friend's daughter, Gracie) a hat.

Princess was so excited that she and Gracie were matching!
