Super Simple Recipe - Whipped Frosting

100_7109

My children have enjoyed making so many yummy treats lately. We cut back right after Christmas, simply because I was starting my diet, but my children love helping me in the kitchen and I was indeed missing that time with them as well. So, we have been making lots of delicious treats lately.

Red is my right hand gal when it comes to working in the kitchen. She has truly come a long way and, she can certainly do almost anything in the kitchen now. I am glad that she has learned to use the kitchen. One of the most important skills a mother can teach her daughter is to work in a kitchen; this includes preparing food, cooking and baking food, and keeping a clean kitchen. Red definitely gets an A+ in the kitchen, and I LOVE being her teacher.

Here is what the cupcakes we baked together look like along with the recipe for our frosting.

Do those sprinkles look familiar?
Didn't want those to go to waste!

Whipped Frosting

12 oz. Cool Whip
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
3 tbs. confectioners sugar
  • combine ingredients in mixing bowl
  • mix on medium for 2-4 minute
  • spoon into piping bag
  • decorate!
We used cherries on top... I {love} cherries...and those {sweet} little X's and O's from our cookies.
