There's "Snow Way" I Would Have Missed This!

If you know me, you know that winter is NOT my favorite. I definitely prefer flip flops, a pair of shorts and a cute top over jeans and this itchy sweater (*scratch, scratch*). I seriously stay holed up in my house all winter like a bear, except for the part where I get to sleep all winter...my bear cubs keep me up! And if snow insists on falling, it has to be worth it. In my book, that means NO SCHOOL for the kids, NO WORK for me, and enough snow for a...

Other than Red, my kids enjoyed their first "North Carolina Style" big snow. Red was a baby when it snowed two feet several years ago.

And then...

• While all of this fun was happening, a huge pot of {homemade vegetable soup} was simmering inside and awaiting our return.
  

• Later, we enjoyed homemade {snow cones}...watermelon flavor!

• Then tonight, we warmed up with cups of {delicious hot chocolate} and little tiny marshmallows.
