Natural Cleaning Kit

You don't need all of those expensive cleaners to have a clean home. Here is a natural cleaning kit that you can put together that is cheaper and healthier for you and your family.

Purchase the following to always keep on hand:
  • a box of baking soda
  • a bottle of dish soap (Dawn works best)
  • a bottle of white vinegar
  • a squeeze bottle (you could even recycle a bottle in your home like an empty ketchup bottle)
  • a spray bottle
  • scrub brushes
  • old t-shirts (cut up into rags)
  • a bin to hold everything
I personally use baking soda and vinegar all the time for a number of different reasons and stand behind them 100%. Here are some recipes for easy to make solutions along with some other awesome uses for these products.

All Purpose Spray

2 cups water
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tbsp. baking soda

Add ingredients to your spray bottle

Scrubbing Paste

1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cups baking soda
couple drops dish soap

Add ingredients to your squeeze bottle

Click HERE for some simple labels I created that you can adhere to your cleaning bottles that will make it easier for you to remember what goes into each cleanser. Be sure to click on the image to enlarge and then right click on the item and save to a folder on your computer. Then, they can easily be printed out and put on the sides of the bottles with contact paper or packing tape (not necessarily going for beauty here).

Other uses for Baking Soda
  • clean fruits and veggies by sprinkling some in water and soaking items. Then rinse and dry.
  • to polish silverware
  • to remove strong odors from hands, such as an onion smell.
Other uses for Vinegar
  • to remove sour clothing smells. Accidentally leave your clothes in the wash too long? Rewash with vinegar. It will get the smell out without leaving a vinegar smell. It really works. I've tried it!
  • deter ants. Spray around doors and windows.
  • to clean rust from tools
