I stayed home from work yesterday, but Mackenzie still needed to go to school, so Jason took her. He left the Princess and the Pea in their room to play while he was gone (I was there, just in the next room, so please, no comments about how my 3 and 4 year old were left home unattended). I was laying not so comfortably in my bed.
I could hear them playing so nicely, using kind words, when suddenly the chaos broke loose. All I really heard was the piercing scream of Princess. Not a scream saying "I'm in pain!", it was a "I'm mad as hell!" scream. Princess came running and said that Pea hit her with a bucket. Pea got the usual "stool time".
A few minutes later, I called Princess so I could check on her, only to be absolutely SHOCKED to find a huge knot on the side of her eye. Pea had really clocked Princess in the eye with that bucket. How did I miss that when she first came running? Here is what it looks like today...

But when they fight, it's never anything worth fighting over..."She called me a bulldozer!" was probably one of the most memorable reasons for coming to blows recently. Just reading it makes me laugh, but they are quite serious in their convictions.
They fight and argue on a regular basis over random things such as who's turn it is to take up the dinner napkins, who's going to take a bath first (they no longer get to do it together because they team up on me and I get wetter than they do), or who's going to open the door at school.
So, what caused this terrible incident?
The story I got was... "Princess was trying to look out the window at Elmo!"
Wow! I wasn't aware that he lived in our neighborhood!
What do your kids fight about? I would love to hear some of your stories of silly fights your kids have gotten into.
Just this morning Braxton put Trevor in tears because he wouldn't stop calling him "Dr Pork Chop"?????? I just laughed when he told me that was why he was crying.
