Super Simple Recipe - Apple Salad

My daughter Phoenix was learning about Fall in her class, and for a food learning experience they made Apple Salad. I had never heard of it, but it sounded yummy to me and Phoenix enjoyed it enough to eat two servings. Mrs. Debbie, Phoenix's teacher gave me the recipe and I made it tonight for my two baby girls. I enjoyed it just as much as they did, and I was right it was as yummy as it sounded.

I decided to share this simple recipe (my favorite kind) with you. It is not only super easy to make, because it requires no cooking, but it is also extremely nutritious.Apple Salad
6 large apples chopped into small pieces (you can also peel them or not...my kids prefer peeled.)
1 c. raisins (also good with craisins, but Tyler is allergic to cranberries so we don't do this.)
2 tbsp. Splenda (you can use regular sugar, we just prefer Splenda)
8 oz. sour cream

Mix everything together in a large bowl and chill for about one hour. Makes a great snack or even a side dish to any meal. I looked this up and there are actually several versions of the Apple Salad. Some of them had me adding carrots, walnuts, almonds, or grapes, however, I found that this one is the most kid friendly version.

If you have a super simple recipe you would like to share with us, please leave a comment telling us all about it.
