I decided to share this simple recipe (my favorite kind) with you. It is not only super easy to make, because it requires no cooking, but it is also extremely nutritious.

6 large apples chopped into small pieces (you can also peel them or not...my kids prefer peeled.)
1 c. raisins (also good with craisins, but Tyler is allergic to cranberries so we don't do this.)
2 tbsp. Splenda (you can use regular sugar, we just prefer Splenda)
8 oz. sour cream
2 tbsp. Splenda (you can use regular sugar, we just prefer Splenda)
8 oz. sour cream
Mix everything together in a large bowl and chill for about one hour. Makes a great snack or even a side dish to any meal. I looked this up and there are actually several versions of the Apple Salad. Some of them had me adding carrots, walnuts, almonds, or grapes, however, I found that this one is the most kid friendly version.
