Of course, I would rather be at home with my own kids taking care of them instead all day, but unfortunately "Stay at Home Mom" was not the path I was meant to take. But, I must say that although I don't make the money I had ever hoped for (right now anyways), I would like to think that I am showing my children that I am a strong, independent woman, who has gone through a lot in life and stood up and fought to do the very best for all of them. I have pretty much always been the sole bread winner for my kids these last 10 years, and in a way looking at myself in that way, makes me proud of myself. I own a house, a vehicle, and have a steady job. That's pretty good, right? Not to mention, I am a full time student as well. Wow! Go me!
Sadly, I don't get the time I would like with my children, but hopefully someday they will see the hard work I have put into providing for them.
Don't get me wrong, I love Jason with my heart and soul, but I think I have to constantly remind myself that no matter what, I can do this with or without him. It is much nicer with him, of course! You just never know what could happen. I believe when I was married to Jeremy, he lead me to believe that my life was nothing, and I could accomplish nothing, without him. I SO proved him wrong! HA!
So, what is it that I do all day, again? I work at Children's Ark in Youngsville, and I take care of the infants each day. I have worked in child care for the last ten years. I have worked with all preschool ages, school-age children, I have been an Assistant Director, and a few other titles in the childcare field, but I must say that I love to work with the babies most of all.
