Snap Point Frames by Thistle & Poppy
Posted by
Joni
I was not financially compensated for the following post. One Thistle & Poppy Snap Point Frame and two trims were provided in exchanged for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own and in no way influenced.
Within the last year, and even recently, I got rid of nearly all of our photo frames around the house. The few I chose to keep were a selection of wooden frames. I dislike plastic, and am not too fond of metal either, so the decision was pretty painless. However, I am ashamed to admit it but, the frames I did keep, still don't have photos in them.
When I was contacted by Christie over at Thistle & Poppy to try out one of their new frames, I was happy to do so. I was even more excited when I discovered how easy it is to add and change my photos in them. A frame I would actually use, that's a winner!
My Thistle & Poppy frame arrived within just 3 days and I quickly tore open the package to discover, in some of the cutest wrapping ever, a lovely solid wood shaped base and two wooden trim styles. The hardest part about putting this frame together is deciding which trim style I wanted to use.
Each set consists of a base and a trim. You simply remove the trim, put the photo in place, and replace the trim on top. The two pieces are held together magnetically, holding the photos in place.
I've changed them out several times already... it's just that simple!
All frames are individually handcrafted, with a variety of 15 colors, 10 base shapes, and 19 trim styles. That's over 42,000 framing options!
What makes Thistle & Poppy picture frames so unique are the Snap Points, making framing 100% easy and completely interchangeable. There are literally thousands of design and color combinations to choose from, and you NEVER have to remove the frame from the wall when you change out the photos.
Want to see how easy it is? Check out this video, then head over to Thistle & Poppy's Virtual Frame Designer to create a one of a kind frame to match your style and personality.
You can upload your own photos and see just how your photos and frame looks before you even buy. Designing the perfect custom frame can't get any easier than that!
I am seriously in love with my frame and have even added them to my list as gifts to give this Christmas. Yes, I am already thinking about Christmas! We kinda have to start early around here!
I'd love to hear if you check out the Virtual Frame Designer. Be sure to come back and tell me all about the colors and designs you choose!

Fun & Creative Pudding Snacks with Kozy Shack + a Giveaway!

Thank you to Kozy Shack for sponsoring today's post. My love for their delicious pudding is all my own!
I can hardly believe it is already June! This week is the last full week of school for my kids and we are already excited about our Summer adventures. I thought it would be a great opportunity to celebrate the end of another school year with a fun snack with Kozy Shack pudding and my three youngest while we talked about some of the plans we have as a family this Summer.
Our little "pudding party" got rave reviews from Phoenix, Tyler, and Elijah, each proclaiming it as the best snack ever! Even I indulged in a little Kozy Shack and I have to admit, it was pudding love at first bite! Whether we were topping our pudding with fruit (my favorite) or even some not so nutritious Oreo cookies every once in awhile, I felt good knowing that Kozy Shack pudding is made with real wholesome ingredients that you can actually pronounce. Kozy Shack has eggs, milk, real tapioca pearls, and even real cocoa, so it's pudding made right... simply delicious!

No matter what our plans are this Summer, picnics seem to be one at the top of their list ever since we took the kids on a picnic at the park a couple weeks ago. Now, they want picnics at the park, the beach, the lake, and everywhere else we go. They pretty much love the idea of helping me plan and prepare our picnic lunches. And of course, no picnic lunch is complete without finishing it off with a sweet treat but, idea of bringing ice-cream or even popsicles doesn't go over well since there's that little thing they tend to do... MELT!
Coconut Mango Mint Tapioca Pudding
Kozy Shack pudding snacks come in 3 delicious flavors including, rice, tapioca, and of course, chocolate! They also travel nicely, making them a great addition to our picnic lunches, where we can easily toss them into our picnic basket, along with some fruit and even whipped cream. There's no secret recipe, just simply layer your pudding and ingredients for a fun and creative pudding snack. It's like having portable ice-cream!
How would you like to try Kozy Shack puddings for yourself? Today is your lucky day because one Six Cherries on Top reader will win 2 premium ceramic Kozy Shack pudding mugs with spoons, along with a product coupon good for 1 free package of any Kozy Shack product (up to $4.99 value).

Making Time to Read
Posted by
Joni
Reading and writing have been my strong suit my whole life. Growing up, I remember sometimes staying up late into the night just to finish a book. And even into adulthood, I still have a love for reading, even though, I often go through periods where I hardly pick up a book for months.
Luckily, one thing I managed to pass on to my children is my love for reading as well. I honestly believe Mackenzie loves reading more than I ever did, which says a lot. And not a day goes by that Phoenix, Tyler, and Elijah don't grab a handful of books off of our bookshelf just to spend some time reading.
Lately, I have been making an effort to turn off and put down technology and pick up a book instead (unless I am actually reading a book on the iPad). I have finally read some books that had been sitting, and even dove into some that I had not planned or heard anything about beforehand.
Here is a list of books I have read recently and definitely recommend:
I have also been making time to read with my children as well. We have been including Bible Study a few nights a week and we are even starting a few of the classics that we have had on our shelf but haven't read yet. We just started reading Grimm's Fairy Tales, a book we received from my dad several Christmases ago. It was wrapped in plastic, and if I am being totally honest, we only just recently tore the plastic off. It's quite a beautiful book, each page edged in gold and a ribbon bookmark.
It's no joke when I say that I have a pretty rowdy bunch of children. My younger three are always on the go from the moment they wake up at 5:00 am (Yes, 5:00 EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.). They literally try to squeeze in every minute of their day with on the go activities. Some days I drop long before they do. However, sitting down to read a book with them, calms them down every time. The conversations we have with our children while reading with them have always been some of the best.
What are some of your favorite books to read, or that you would love to read, with your children?
